Concept & Team Summary:
We will create a seating area, dog park and water garden that can be used for strollers during the day and offer up a portable outdoor movie theater on selected evenings. The improvements will include wooden park and concrete benches and small water fountains. “Movie nights” will include food trucks, street entertainers, and tie-ins with local businesses to increase pedestrian traffic and add community value, and be based on the successful implementation in the Central West End and elsewhere around the region. The site can also be used as a training area for the students in St. Patrick Center’s landscaping program and can be used by the St. Louis Art Works students at the adjoining property for working on their outdoor art projects.
