Our Farm is tailored to address the characteristics of North St. Louis City, offer a viable solution for reversing blight, add taxable entrepreneurial activities, mitigate stormwater pollution, increase biodiversity, shrink food deserts and revitalize existing community populations.
This location is the first in a proposed network of farms, harnessed under a scalable system, that can meet existing and future demands for organic local produce. An abundance of blighted land becomes the foundation for a commercial operation that can grow to meet quality, delivery and cost metrics.
Our Farm is developing additional components to support their approach to urban farming that will strengthen the decentralized sites with coordination and technology, including seed inventory tracking software, aerated static compost piles, a restaurant certification system, and barn trucks.
