The 2012 Sustainable Land Lab Competition challenged teams of designers, thinkers and doers to propose innovative projects that transform vacant lots into assets that advance sustainability.
Over the course of 5 months and through an inspiring series of charrettes, exhibitions, and submission rounds, 5 of the 48 submitting teams were selected to receive $5,000 in seed money and a two-year land lease with which to implement their proposals.
